You can upload and share privately on SlideShare as long as you have a SlideShare PRO account.

There are several options that you get with private uploads:

  • Automatic Secret URL
  • Private Embeds (including the ability to restrict the embeds to specific sites or domains.)
  • Password Protection
  • Schedule Private Presentation to go Public

To know how each of these options work, please visit the following presentation:

Please note:

  • If you have a basic SlideShare (free) account, you no longer can make private uploads as of 13th Jan, 2011. You will need to upgrade to a SlideShare PRO account to upload private files.
  • If you have a free account and you have private uploads, they will continue to remain private without any disruption. However, if you change from private to public, you will not be able to revert them back to a private file without upgrading to a PRO account.
