Do hyperlinks work in presentations, documents, PDFs, and infographics uploaded to SlideShare? What about internal links?

Yes, SlideShare supports hyperlinks in presentations and documents when they are in our supported file formats. Hyperlinks are not supported in infographics.

For hyperlinks to work, make sure to properly insert the hyperlinks. Hyperlinks cannot be on the first three pages of your file. Just entering the URL text does not mean that the hyperlink will work. In order to do this, use the Insert/Hyperlink command in PowerPoint (See this tutorial).

For more detail, we suggest reading this blog post.

If you uploaded a PDF and your links do not work, you should check the PDF creation tool you used to see if it preserves hyperlinks. Most PDF tools do preserve links.

If the links are internal links, these will not be supported. For instance, if slide 3 of your presentation has a link that takes you to slide 8 of the same presentation, this link will not work on SlideShare.

I would like to know whether internal links are supported.  My PDF file is an export from Powerpoint 2010 and contains links between pages.  These links work perfectly within Adobe Reader.   These do not seem to work on Slideshare.net.

Miles,

Internal links within the document are not supported on SlideShare.

The slides that I have uploaded all include hyperlinks that work on the online version of SlideShare.  However, when I access the slides on a mobile phone (via a QR code), the hyperlinks no longer work.  Do you have any suggestions on how to get hyperlinks to work on a smart phone?
