I want to download a presentation in PowerPoint format, but I am getting a PDF/ZIP/KEY file on clicking download. Why?

The file you get is the original file that was uploaded by the author. (Powerpoint, PDF, OpenOffice, Keynote etc.)

You could try contacting the author directly using Private Message from their SlideShare profile, and request for the raw file instead of the other format.

It would be very nice indeed if you could provide an additional download option where appropriate: download as PDF.

The reason is that many users are not necessarily able to read the format I have chosen for my slides (keynote for Mac) and I have consequently quite a few requests for alternatives (PDF or PPT)), which could be provided directly by you. As you already parse the original, it might not be a very big deal to support this.
