Adding a profile picture to your account is easy, and is a great way to personalize your account. Before uploading, make sure your picture is in one of these supported formats: jpg, png, gif. The size of the image should be less than 500KB, and for best results, try using a square image (96 X 96 pixels).

To upload a profile picture, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to SlideShare
  2. Go to the drop down menu on the top right of any page and select  Account Settings
  3. Click on the Upload new image link that appears

        4. Using the explorer/finder window that appears, select your photos and click on the Open button

5. Your image will appear and you will have an option to crop part of your image. Use the cropping tool to select all or only part of your uploaded          image. Once you are happy with the selection, select Crop & Save

Please note that you can adjust the crop position and size, but you cannot change the aspect ratio in the crop window. For changing aspect, you should crop/adjust in an image editing software (e.g. Photoshop or MS Paint) and then upload again.

We will always keep your original photo just in case you wish to crop it differently. You can change how the image is displayed at any time by selecting your Account Settings and clicking on the Edit option next to your image.
