I cannot get the audio file to upload; I have the audio URL all right but it does not seem to work. What is the reason?

This could be happening because your audio URL is not in the required format. For Slidecasting, we require a mp3 format audio URL (e.g. http://www.archive.org/download/slidecasttpr/LikeWhoamp3_64kb.mp3).

In case your current audio host does not provide this, consider using the internet archives (www.archive.org); it is free and readily gives the URL needed for Slidecasts.

I have having the same issue as Laura Munroe. I used www.archive.org to upload my audio but it hasn't uploaded yet and it has been well over a few minutes (more like a few hours). Any help?

Processing Processing your mp3 file 'voice10.mp3'

You will be redirected to the synchronization tool in a few minutes to sync slides with audio.

I have tried using file upload or link URL

but still cant see any synch tool?

whats the problem

I also cannot get my mp3 file to upload.  I've tried it several times, its an mp3, and it's taking bloody forever.  If there's a problem with the site, can we get a message to that effect, so we're not all sitting here watching our files not upload?

Yup, same problem here. I'm trying to upload my mp3 file and "a few minutes" seem to be "a few hours"... Is there a problem in the site or is this how it's supposed to be?

This is definitely not how it's supposed to be.  I've used Slideshare for seven previous slidecasts, with no problems.  I submitted a request to have them look at what's going on.  My suspicion is that something is up with the site, but I can't say for sure.  Typical upload time for the mp3 had previously been about 2 minutes.
