Can I remove the SlideShare app from my profile?

Yes, you can remove the SlideShare app from being displayed on your profile. Navigate to this link and disable the following two settings:
- Display on my profile
- Display on LinkedIn homepage
Click on the Update Settings button to activate the changes.
