Here are some common problems that can appear when downloading files and the solutions to fix them:
Case 1: When I download the file I get the error “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below…… ”
This error message means that the file does not exist on our servers anymore. Please submit a ticket if you encounter this issue when downloading a file.
Case 2: I clicked download and the process has been going on for a while, and it does not seem to be stopping or giving me the file.
This problem can happen when you try to download a large PDF file. If you have a PDF plugin installed in your browser, downloading the file will activate the PDF plugin and the file will open in your browser, which can take some time. A simple workaround for this is to disable the PDF plugin in your browser, download the file, and re-enable the plugin again
Case 3: I am trying to download a file after signing up and was told that the link to download the file will be emailed to me, but it has not arrived.
If your account has not yet been verified or if the author of the presentation has enabled a lead form, we will send you a download link for the file in your email. However, if you do not receive this email, please make sure the email address you have provided us is correct. The email may also be in your spam or junk folders.
Case 4: The save link is grayed out and can not be clicked on/ it says 'Save disabled by author.
