Here are some of the common problems faced in downloading files:
Case 1: On clicking download I get an error like “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below…… ”
Case 2: I clicked download and the process is going on for a while, it does not seem to be stopping or giving me the file.
Case 3: I am trying to download a file after signing up and was told that the link to download the file will be emailed to me, but it has not arrived.

When I right-clicked my mouse on the "Download" link of a file, it showed "talent-talk-webinar-rethinking-your-recruiting-metrics-in-a-down-economy-2065966.htm " instead of "xxxx.pdf" or "xxx.pptx", etc.
This issue happened before and disappeared after re-login.
Two days I am trying to upload photos from Athens protest and nothing it happen
Case 2. Either it doesn't work and they don't want to admit it; they are too cheap to pay for any download bandwidth or they don't want us to download stuff to try and lock people in.
I downloaded "Introduction to SEO" from SeoMoz (a Powerpoint file) but got an error when trying to open it.
Please help.

How do I open up a downloaded phpapp02.key file?
Nothing downloads anymore. Ever since they switched to the ad page where you have to wait 5 seconds, I haven't been able to download anything. I've tried different files and different browsers and still I get the same thing. Ugh, this is such a pain in the ass.
Is anyone listening to our concerns from the help desk. I'm having exactly the same problem. Why can't files download like it is advertised! Very, Very frustrating.
Im Getting the email but the links bring me to the homepage and it loops back to the download button and email form...I tried both clickong on the link and copy^paste the second one.

I also cannot download the presentation. I am using a Chrome browser on a Mac. You had mentioned to turn off the pdf plugin but I do not know how to do this. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!
(Also, your pages look pretty strange on the Chrome browser.)
Downloads dont work.
I attempted to download http://www.slideshare.net/jathey/best-practices-for-metadata-in-dam... it told me it would start.... I waited 5 minutes for nothing. So I clicked on the link to manually download it. It opened a PDF window stating the file was corrupted.
Slideshare sucks at downloading PDF files.
I complained about this problem weeks ago when I attempted to download a series of different PDF slide shows. None of them downloaded. Slideshare emailed me stating they'd look into it that it was an engineering problem. Then it was closed without any of them working.
They really don't care about the download process.
Telling people to turn off a PDF plug in is stupid and lazy response. Invest in a simple mechanism that simply downloads PDFs. Many companies offer them and many other pieces of software (including most corporate web sites) do this really well.
Hello everyone, I haven't experience this type of problems/errors in downloading the file. Maybe you can try to use other web browsers like Mozilla Firefox to download the file. Hope to hear about your feedback's soon. ~Wind Turbines
