How can I troubleshoot problems or errors in downloading files?

Here are some of the common problems faced in downloading files:
Case 1: On clicking download I get an error like “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below…… ”
This error message means that the file does not exist on our servers.
Case 2: I clicked download and the process is going on for a while, it does not seem to be stopping or giving me the file.
This problem happens when you try to download a large PDF file. If you have the PDF plugin installed in your browser, then downloading the file invokes the PDF plugin and the file will open in your browser after the entire file gets downloaded. This is going to be slow because of the large file.
A simple workaround for this is to disable the PDF plugin in the browser, download the file and re-enable the plugin back again.
Case 3: I am trying to download a file after signing up and was told that the link to download the file will be emailed to me, but it has not arrived.
If your account has not yet been verified or if the author of the presentation has enabled a lead form, we will send you a download link for the file in your email. However, if you do not receive this email, please make sure the email address you have provided us is correct.
